Welcome!

My name is Leon Ramakers. I hope you enjoy looking at my artworks as

much as I’ve enjoyed creating them. I’m a self-taught artist and I’ve been

drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I generally prefer to

paint realism, although I also paint abstracts and the occasional portrait.

 

I love nature in all its forms, particularly New Zealand landscape, flora and
fauna, and I enjoy portraying it using contrasts of line, shape, light, colour
and textures. Although I usually paint in acrylics or oils, I’ve also created
artworks in pencil, inks, charcoal, pastels, and watercolours.
